The industry Soybean processing Refined soybean oil Bran

The Serra Verde Industry, a soybean processing plant belonging to the Falavinha group, is being built in the rural area of Boa Vista, Roraima. With investments of around R$150 million during the construction phase, the project will generate around 460 direct jobs and as many indirect jobs.
In addition to its soybean storage capacity, the new industry will produce bran, a product used to make animal feed. The company's CEO, Felipe Falavinha, emphasizes that the industrialization of products derived from soya, such as the oil that will be produced in Roraima, will also add value to production.
"It's a company that works on the entire soya production chain and Roraima will now have the product processed within the state, strengthening the production chain as a whole, from family farming to small and medium-sized producers, because as well as supplying the crushing, we will have storage capacity that will cater for a large part of the state's production, offering security to the producer," explained Falavinha.

INDIRECT EMPLOYMENT - The installation of an industry of this size is not just about storing soybeans. Many opportunities are generated in the surrounding area, which benefits various sectors, such as transport, for example, and consequently vehicle maintenance, auto parts, fuel, increased production of bran and animal feed, and so on, all of which has an impact on the generation of jobs, both direct and indirect.
Governor Antonio Denarium, who visited the construction site accompanied by his government secretaries, stressed that attracting investment is one of his government's flagships. According to the governor, Roraima will soon become one of the most industrialized states in the North, leaving the paycheck economy behind once and for all.
"We've been working to value the entrepreneurs who are here and attract new investments. Roraima's vocation is food production and we have to value indigenous agriculture, business and family farming and agro-industry in order to generate jobs and income. We are visiting the Serra Verde industry, which will generate employment and development in the state based on our valorization of the productive sector."
